Yellowdig
How to use Yellowdig:
There are 380 total Yellowdig points available for the entire course. Week 2 has an extra available amount of points in case you missed Week 1. Each week thereafter, you can gain a maximum of 70 points.
Your Yellowdig grade on the Progress page will show as a total out of 380 points, so it will be low at the beginning of the course but will accumulate through your participation by the end of the course.
The Yellowdig bar on your Progress graph will show as a total percentage out of 70 each week, so it will be low at the beginning of the week and will increase with participation during the week.
If a student participates fully in all 7 assignments, they would accumulate 490 points, well exceeding the requirement of 380 points.
Do not copy and paste the weekly prompts as your response or create duplicate posts. These will be deleted and any points awarded will be revoked.

If a student earned the maximum number of points in all 7 assignments, they would technically accumulate 490 points. Students are not given extra credit. Instead, those extra points are a buffer if you miss a Yellowdig assignment or two.

Yellowdig FAQS:
Q: Why aren't my Yellowdig points showing up on my progress page?
A: Yellowdig points can take up to 24 hours to sync with the course progress page. If you do not see your points at that point, then please contact support@yellowdig.com, or click the blue "help" button in Yellowdig. Please also notify us via the Sociology Course Discussion Board.
Q: Why do I have 50 points in Yellowdig but 49 points on my progress page? (or any small discrepancy)
A: Without getting too technical, Yellowdig sends your grade to our course as a percentage, but the course operates on points. Please do not worry about this small discrepancy; as the course continues your points will add up and equal out evenly.
Q: Why do I only have ___/380 points on my progress page?
A: There is only one Yellowdig board, so although we post weekly, there is only one grade that gets passed back to our course site. Your point totals will accumulate as the course continues.
Q: Why do I have ___% for Yellowdig on my progress graph?
A: Due to the constraints of the learning platform, there can only be one Yellowdig bar on your Progress graph in this course. Every week, the Yellowdig bar will appear as 100% complete as long as you reach your points goal (70 points) for that week. If you do not reach your weekly points goal, then your Yellowdig bar will show a percentage less than 100%.
Q: What should I do if Yellowdig won't launch?
A: 1) Make sure you're using the Chrome web browser. Other web browsers may cause significant difficulty.
2) Clear your browser cookies.
3) Enable cookies for yellowdig.com and yellowdig.app, and make sure you're not in Incognito mode.
4) Disable all browser extensions (especially ad blockers and grammar checkers).
5) Try accessing Yellowdig from a different device, if another device is readily available.
